Ayn Rand's Ideas

'A philosophy for living on earth' is how Ayn Rand characterized her philosophy. That phrase names the unique value of Objectivism: a practical necessity of life, not a mere intellectual exercise. Although she is widely known as a champion of rational self-interest and capitalism, she knew that one's ethics and politics are the consequences of more basic views about the nature of reality, of man and knowledge.
